Spring is a time when people feel a little less bold when it comes to their wardrobes. I think a good way to conteract that is to pair a simple outfit with a bold accessory. I love the lineup of watches available right now at Hermés. Typically some people stray away from black during the spring time, but I think black is fabulous all year round. I’ll push my black jeans and black loafers as far into the summer heat as I can go. Black accessories never get stored away- those are always in style. The Black Alligator watches are great essential pieces and are perfect for a spring dinner or special occasion. And yes diamonds are always appropriate!
I know these Gucci loafers have been around for a minute but everytime I see a new color it’s like the first time I laid eyes on these beauties. We have been introduced into some great colors for spring/summer and these would pair so well with simple casual looks. My favorites of the moment are the two crushback loafers in the middle: cognac brown and light pink!
I love a layered travel look even when it’s not terribly cold. I get cold easily and I don’t necessarily like having my arms uncovered either. For comfy travel I like a cotton sweater and a big wool coat to throw over it. I’d like to be a Kardashian and wear stilletos to the airport but that just isn’t practical for me. I love the texture on the sneakers and the colors pair well with the sweater and the wool coat. Black track pants are a necessity as well as the black oversized sunglasses. I love when I can shield my eyes and not have to worry about wearing concealer. The Missoni beanie(which has since sold out on NAP) was added as an extra piece to tie the look together. Missoni does this multicolored colorway so well so almost any any missoni beanie could do. This black carry-on from Tumi is a stable travel piece with the volume turned up. Add on a large neutral colored shopper and your good to go!
Farfetch has dropped some new Miu Miu shoes recently and I am all here for it. Talk about a statement shoe, but these aren’t statments — these are whole conversation shoes. Embellished and bold is exactly what we need for spring when we have a tendency to “tone it down” and just go for “cute”.
I love a great denim look. The norm of casual looks these days are comprised of a t-shirt and workout leggings. I think thats because women these days are very busy and have longer days so they are dressing for comfort. Comfortable and chic can be achieved at the same time. Get a comfortable pair of high rise jeans with a great cotton button-up shirt. Simple accessories like an easy to wear crossbody and oversized sunglasses. The gold hoop earrings match the rest if the gold hardware on the look. Pair this look with simple makeup and throw your hair up in a messy bun or ponytail and you are good to go. And the best part is you dont look like you just rolled out of bed.
Getting into warmer weather that has cooler mornings and evenings can be challenging. That’s why a breathable bodysuit underneath a cotten blazer is essential. I love Balmain blazers for the versitility. Dressed up with a skirt or suit pants or dressed down with jeans. Adding a high-heeled open-toed mule still keeps is elevated but casually chic. Accessories can be kept minimal since the blazer itself gives such a wow factor. I love a matching, but contrast color wallet — easier to find your wallet in a dark restaurant. Cat-eye sunglasses look amazing on almost any face shape and you can throw on a pair of gold hoop earrings with almost any look.
